Do we treat others the way we wish to be treated?
Added by Admin on 12/08/2009

We don't need more rules or regulations on how to treat each other. We need to regain a focus on values and strengths to guide social relationships

There are so many values now; should parents try to pass their's on to their children?

The wording presumes others want to be treated as WE do, rather than how THEY wish to be treated. Semantics aside the spirit of the words is to treat others with empathy & humanity & we SHOULD always be mindful to understand & respect others needs

As unique human beings, more important than material items. So kindness, compassion, gentleness, forgiveness & love...... Especially the difficult ones.

With respect for the fact that everybody is the way they are for a reason.

It may be contentious to say today but if we follow the path of Jesus then we will treat one another in the best manner. It might mean we have to sacrifice a few of our wants or desires though. Are you up for it?

I'm not Christian, but agree that most people that strictly follow the path of Jesus are good people by any definition, not just religious. Be careful, though, to not assume someone NOT following the path is a bad person.

Coming to the point and making a small joke of it: People who live in glass houses should change in the basement. Reciprocity is the name of the game.

Jesus was born with the purpose to show humanity how to live. He is the example we are supposed to follow. His life is one of love, compassion, selflessness, non materialistic, simple and much more. Can you imagine a world full of such people?
