Just let them have some fun. Stop trying to turn every bit of fun into learning, exercise, etc - let them simply enjoy the experience. Fun should not be so purposeful or have an agenda.... they're just kids.

Children are naturally happy; they don't need to learn how and we don't need to teach it. The question is what are we doing to their natural tendency to a state of happiness? If a child feels safe, secure, loved and validated they will be happy.

Let kids be kids. Stop dressing them like adults, let them be messy, stop transporting them to activity after activity. Let them be bored - it improves the imagination. Stop trying to sell lifestyle to them

I agree, let them be children and experience the highs and lows of life. Also if parents raise their children by example, they will grow up into decent adults.
