Having a diverse range of opinions from people with different backgrounds enables our society to engage in open and transparent dialogue. The outcome: empathy rather than fear and hate, leading to better health outcomes and a stronger economy.

Affordable accommodation is probably the basic dynamic for building community liveablility and diversity - without it we would have little hope of attracting and retaining the range of people necessary for a diverse community with spirit.
More women in higher level business and political positions. Where is the equality? Glass ceilings for women are still out there and it is up to men and women alike to work together to break through this.
Achieving diversity requires a dual approach: advocacy (focus on policy change) and campaigning (focus on individual behaviour change). Although some policies are outdated and difficult to change, we can still play a role by walking the talk.
How can we strengthen diversity in our communities when our governments fail to offer basic things like mandating maternity leave. Come on, both political parties please wake up!
